Projection of disrupted communication ability in children's drawing

The master thesis is focused on a special pedagogical topic and observes how disrupted communication impacts on children's drawing. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical part. The first one is about the theoretical findings, which proceed from the professional literature. There are the parts here regarding communication, speech and language and the disrupted communication ability - most concentrated on a question of developmental dysphasia. The close attention has been paid to children in their younger school age, their communication abilities, their drawing ability and graphomotor activity. The practical part of this master thesis has been formed by a qualitative survey realized with children at elementary schools and their home environment. Different methods and techniques - interviews, observation, case interpretation and analysis of activity results. The main objective of this thesis is to to find out and to describe - how the disrupted communication ability of children - specifically developmental dysphasia is projected into children drawing. The corresponding demonstration has been based on a comparison between drawings of pupils with communication problems and drawings of children without any communication problems. Sculptures of Eva Kmentová in years 1958 - 1968 This bachelor thesis deals with the sculptural work of Eva Kmentová between 1958- 1968. It considers her studies in Josef Wagner's studio at Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, her cooperation with sculptor Olbram Zoubek and her participation in the Trasa art group. It focuses on the evolution of her work in this period especially on the problem of human figure. Finally, there are mentioned her activities in Václav Špála Gallery and her relationship with art historian Jindřich Chalupecký.
Transformation of Children's Drawings during the Period of Transition between the First and Second Grade of Elementary School

The thesis is aimed at children?s drawing and its development between the first and the second grade of elementary school. The theoretical part describes individual stages of development of younger school age children and older school age children - pubes-cence. The work also includes general information about children?s art expression and its stages of development and also about a human figure drawing. The research study follows children?s human figure drawing and its transformation within the period be-tween the first and the second grade of elementary school. The findings were studied according to certain criteria.
The art expression in children at the turn from preschool to elementary school

This thesis focuses on observation of the art expression development in children at the turn from preschool to elementary school. Its theoretical part describes general development of children at preschool and young school age with the emphasise put on the development of drawing. The practical part contains a detailed analysis of human figure drawings and house drawings obtained during two consequent sessions in relevant school institutions. The drawings were analysed using a set of predetermined criteria and by a follow-up assessment. The differences between the developmental progress in girls and boys are also examined.
Drawing concept of figure in motion by children in primary school

The diploma thesis deals with development of lower elementary school children human figure in motion drawing. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to summarize findings of developmental psychology, it especially describes development of younger school age children during particular stages of development, and further it provides information about child?s artistic expression and its development stages. The practical part of the thesis shows research results of human figure drawings of children from the 1st to the 5th grade. Furthermore, child?s ability to capture the figure in motion is observed and development of this capture is compared. Results were assessed according to criteria determined in advance, and subsequently analyzed.
